The Tour Edge XCG Exotics hybrid is a combination of traditional head design with some hidden technology gems. This new Trilogy hybrid has a diamond shaped rail that helps keep off center shots on target. Tour Edge uses elliptical variable thickness maraging-steel in the club’s face to deliver more performance to shots struck just about anywhere on the face.
The XCG Exotics Trilogy also uses a 60 gram weight pad in the sole which lowers the CG (Center of Gravity) and produces higher launch capability for shots. The sole of the Trilogy has two outer rails that allow weight to be moved to the rear heal and toe of the club increasing the MOI (Moment of Inertia) preventing twisting of the club for more stability and consistency.
A triangular inner rail is designed to function as a rudder to guide the face towards a square impact position. These rails provide a good interaction with the turf encouraging confidence from almost any lie.
Overall the Tour Edge Exotics Trilogy provides a forgiving hybrid that reacts well from any lie without sacrificing distance. It comes available in various lofts including 13, 15, 16.5, 18, and 21 degrees. The Trilogy commands a street price of $200.
